Since we launched PEARonline fifteen years ago, we have continuously evolved the service in response to our clients’ needs as well as developments in the industry. A year ago we took the decision to invest in a major upgrade of the platform to ensure we are ready for the next fifteen years; that upgrade is nearing completion ahead of its launch in November.
Version 2 will bring immediate benefits to our GP users, their placement agents and fund administrators, and of course their existing and potential LPs. PEARonline’s focus on private capital has always meant that our service is simple and intuitive; our experience of working closely with our clients has enabled us to design an updated user interface that will enhance that ease of use.
Clients will see immediate new functionality including Multi-Factor Authentication for further enhanced security, four-eyes processes to give more granular control over changes to documents and users, language localization for LPs with French and Mandarin versions due to roll out, offline “sandboxing” for the creation of new funds, and document previews as an alternative to downloads.
Important as the immediate changes are, Version 2’s updated architecture will provide further security, the ability to support our rapidly growing client base, and the flexibility to add new functionality in the coming years within our mission of improving the efficiency of private equity fund investment.
We are working closely with our existing clients on migration, support and training for Version 2 and we’re excited to showcase our fantastic new service. If you’re a potential new client, we will be running demos once it’s live in November.
